Diving in Raja Ampat

All of our dive packages include well-maintained, high-quality diving equipment and our high-performance, low-emission, custom dive boats that revolutionize the functionality and comfort of our dives. The space and long range functions allow this machine to take divers to other dive sites faster and more efficiently in complete comfort. In addition to diving excursions, PADI diving courses are also offered in the resort pool. The variety of dive sites ensures there is something for everyone from macro photographers to Manta Ray aficionados and from beginners to seasoned divers. Dive to a WWII wreck or simply “hunt” for nocturnal creatures on a night dive.

Some of the sightings that will set you apart from any other diver at a cocktail party are: Dugongs, Epaulette (Walking) Sharks, Pygmy Seahorses, Black Mantas, Electric (Disco) Clams, and the newly discovered Mercy’s Garden Eel. Plus, you can take home any GoPro footage you captured during your dives from the local Dive Masters for free.

Helpful Steps to Help You Understand Your Resort and Enjoy Your Vacation to the Fullest!

BRING APPROPRIATE LUGGAGE

Use soft collapsible luggage as there is limited space in the rooms for storage. Hard cases are too bulky.

When not at the pool or going to the beach, please consider wearing longer clothes or a beach towel over your swimwear. This also applies around the reception and the common rooms and while eating in the restaurant.

REEF SAFE SUN PROTECTION

It is estimated that between 6 and 14,000 tons of sunscreen are washed off by humans in the ocean and end up in reef areas every year.

Unfortunately, one of the main ingredients in sunscreen is (oxybenzone), which inhibits the growth of baby corals and kills the coral polyps.

Sun protection is essential and we recommend that you bring sunscreen that does not contain harmful ingredients such as oxybenzone, butylparaden, homosalate, octinoxate and octisaat to prevent the harmful effects on the world’s most biodiverse bodies of water. These sunscreens are easily available in stores or online.

Electricity:

The resort gets its electricity from an on-site generator.

There is 1 USB plug and 2 European ones

“Universal” connector points in every room. The staff will be able to explain which outlets are best for which purpose.

FOR THE LOVE OF WATER

It is important that all guests comply with regulations regarding the use of water at the resort. Always use water conservatively by not running the tap continuously.

The resort is an environmentally conscious organization that aims to minimize negative environmental impact. One of our strategies is to avoid plastic water bottles.
